Daring Cardmakers are celebrating their 7th birthday this week and as ever, I was looking forward to Friday morning to find out what the challenge for this week would be. I was not disappointed! The theme this week was of course “birthdays” mixed together with a colour combo – rainbow.
The cake looks sooooo good! Don’t you think? Sometimes I think about visiting other blogs but quite frankly, I don’t have the time. Plus, the teams blogs are full of great ideas. As I had some extra time on my hands today, I decided to give the Christmas card a go too. I tried to use more or less the same layout for both cards. I really enjoyed having a bit of “me” time today just sitting at my desk for a few hours. Here are the cards I made…….
I blended ink from various ink pads together to get a rainbow effect before cutting the bunting out.
Paper: Forever Christmas Cards Paperstack (free in a magazine)

I really like my birthday card but I’m not so impressed with how the Christmas card turned out. I guess maybe I’m not feeling Christmassy enough yet!?
Anyway…..Happy Birthday Daring Cardmakers! http://daringcardmakers.blogspot.de/
Although I really enjoyed the gorgeous weather this Summer, I’m always happy to welcome the Autumn! I think it’s my favourite season for decoration. I love the colours, the scenery, the smell of the air and the yummy Autumn food such as pumpkin, sweet potato, chestnuts etc. I like to send cards to people not just for special occasions like birthdays, but just simply to say hello and to let them know that I am thinking of them. A few weeks ago, I deleted a certain social network account. It has certainly challenged me in finding other ways to keep in touch, whether it be a phone call, meeting up for a coffee or simply sending someone a bit of “snail mail”. Anyhow, here are 2 of my favourite Autumn style cards that I made…… as ever, you can see some beautiful ideas by visiting my favourite craft blog http://daringcardmakers.blogspot.de/ where this week the theme is Harvest Festival.
Have a great weekend!
Every Friday I love to take a look at my favourite crafting blog…..http://daringcardmakers.blogspot.de/ Every week the team post a new theme and there are always plenty of lovely cards and ideas to see. This week the theme is “Signature Style”, basically there are some methods/materials/colours etc. that we tend to use over and over again in our cards. I think my signature style changes from time to time. At the minute I am obsessed with my Big Shot machine which I received a few months ago for my birthday. I love using the embossing folders and dies! I’m really into blue at the minute and have recently bought some lovely new papers in blue tones. A bit of glitter is also a must for my cards! Here are a few cards that I have made which I think sum my “Signature Style” up. Enjoy!
